Get involved

Within the last year we have introduced a Volunteer programme and welcome volunteers between the ages of 18 and 65yrs who wish to dedicate their time and obtain experience working within the homeless sector.  We offer volunteer positions in support work, administration and  maintaince .Each new volunteer is appointed a Mentor who will take them through our Induction Programme and whom the new volunteer will shadow for a period of up to 2 months in order to gain the skills and experience required in order to carry out their role individually.

We also offer ex-clients the opportunity of volunteering with us in order to gain experience for going back into a work environment and getting back into a daily routine where they have to be punctual, presentable and communicate with people at different levels.  Feedback gained has proved that their time spent with us volunteering has been a positive experience and has helped them to gain valuable skills whilst also increasing their confidence and self-esteem levels.

Some of Our Volunteers & Clients

All the team work well with our clients whether in a one to one or group setting and are non-judgemental and empathetic in their approach in order to build trusting relationships.  All staff and volunteers are fully trained around the differences between a professional and personal relationship whilst working with clients and the importance of maintaining professional boundaries at all times.

Volunteers play a very important role here at Bridge-it Housing UK.
